Hyerim is a Ph.D. student and works at Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corporation (KOMIR).
She has researched technologies for recycling waste from industrial processes and has worked on the recovery of valuable metals from various ores, including tungsten, graphite, and copper ore. She has extensive experience in hydrometallurgy and aims to become an expert in all areas of resource processing, including mineral processing, through her Ph.D.
During her master's degree, she conducted research in the field of resources recycling at Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) campus. She studied hydrometallurgical techniques, including leaching, solvent extraction, and precipitation, to recover rare metals such as tungsten and vanadium from automotive denitrification spent catalysts.
