Introduce

Gilsang is a fourth year PhD candidate advised by Professor Hyunjung Kim. His research is focuses on the direct recycling of lithium ion batteries and laterite beneficiation.
He began his research career as an undergraduate in Professor Kim’s Lab, where he studied the mineral processing and transport of nanoparticles in porous media during his undergraduate positions.
During his M.S., he worked on improving recovery and grade of sulfide mineral using flotation.
His goal is to develop the eco-friendly technologies for the recovery of valuable metals through the mineral processing.
Outside of research, Gilsang enjoys most sports including basketball, running, and swimming, and loves to travel natural attractions around the world.
