Kim is a freshman M.S. student in Professor Nick’s group. He became interested in sustainable resources while taking Professor Nick’s classes. After taking these classes, he contacted the professor and became an undergraduate researcher. He is interested in battery recycling and hydrometallurgy. He wants to become a professional in his major.

Outside of his studies and the lab, Kim is interested in baking. He loves to make cookies, bread, and pizza. He is also interested in cocktails and spirits such as whiskey, gin, and so on. He likes to make cocktails at home, and his favorite cocktail is the Blue Hawaiian. Unfortunately, he doesn't like sports except for basketball and cycling. He sometimes rides his bike home, which takes about an hour and a half.
