Ji-hye Yang is an M.S. student in Professor Hyunjung (Nick) Kim’s group. She is working on recovering valuable resources from solar panel wastes. She is researching hydrometallurgical methods. She aims to sustainable resources by recycling electronic waste resources.
As an undergraduate student, she pursued a major in Earth Environmental at PKNU. She had worked research on the restoration of the soil environment. By adding stabilizers to the soil contaminated with heavy metals, a study was conducted to stabilize the soil, and research on chemical mechanisms was conducted. After that, she became interested in resource waste and resource recovery from it.
