Introduction
Hello, my name is Hyerim Kim.
I have been pursuing my Ph.D. at SRPL since March 2024. Although I am a part-time student and cannot participate in laboratory activities as often as I would like, I continue to learn and grow thanks to the warm guidance and support from the professor and my colleagues.
During my master’s program, I conducted hydrometallurgical research focused on recovering tungsten and vanadium from spent catalysts. Since 2013, I have also been working at the Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corporation (KOMIR), where I have carried out extensive research on critical minerals such as rare earth elements, nickel, tungsten, and graphite, as well as on resource recovery from waste materials. My work spans mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and process design.
Drawing on these diverse research experiences, I aim to further strengthen my expertise and grow into a specialist in the full life-cycle of mineral resource processing.
